2018 Race Schedule- Open Water Season begins!

Happy New Year! It’s almost the end of January and race plans are already underway for the year. If you haven’t already picked yours out, here’s a list for the Southeast area swim open-water swims. I’ve done a couple swims where you needed a 1 day Master’s membership, and it seems to me if you are going to race or practice it helps to go ahead and register for the year. Work with an instructor until you are comfortable and happy swimming for fun or fitness in their class. Make time in your week (once, twice, seven times a week!) to go and work on your skills by yourself, with a friend, or with a swim team. US Master’s Swimming is...

That alone has many responsibilities involved, and even without the demanding hours my husband’s job requires I would be pretty busy. So my schedule as a swimmer is squeezed in between these activities, with my swim practice at noon for me, coaching in the evenings and seasonally on Saturday and Sundays and working with a tra...
